Margot is a native of Germany as well as a graduate of the University of Cologne. For 11 years she was pursuing a successful career, helping her clients with their financial needs, when she met her husband Peter Kolbay and moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1992. Starting in 1998, she served for 10 years on the Board of Directors for the Cliff Club in Snowbird, Utah. 

Using her expertise with an insurance company in Cologne, Germany, Margot acquired her Utah insurance license in 2009 and joined Bankers Life and Casualty Company. She earned a Certification for Long Term Care (CLTC) designation in 2010 before joining Futurity First in April 2011. In 2013, Margot achieved the Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP) designation. In 2017, she also acquired the LACP certification. She is also an MDRT member for the last 7 years, qualifying as a Top of the Table member. 

She has been married to Peter Kolbay for over 29 years. Together with their son, Patrick, they enjoy spending time outdoors, camping, hiking and skiing. Margot is personally dedicated to finding innovative insurance planning solutions to help people reach their retirement goals and live their dreams.
