Dan’s interest-turned-career in insurance began in 1992, inspired by his decision to help the seniors at his church with their confusing medical bills. Soon after the start of his volunteering, Dan secured his State of Ohio Insurance License. It was in April of 2000 when Dan opened his own insurance agency. The business focus there was to help their seniors protect their health, life and estates, and before moving to Florida, Dan and his agency successfully served Northeast Ohio seniors for 13 years.

Dan has been recognized for his overall agent ratings – including a career persistency rating of 92 percent. He’s a big believer in treating his clients well; in his words, he treats them like he would want his parents to be treated. He also believes that “money will buy you a great bed, but honesty and integrity will allow you to sleep well in it.” His clients tend to stay with him through the years, because he takes such great pride in serving his clients.

He has been married to his wife, Shawn, since 1994 and they currently have two children, Mallory and Brennan. Volunteering is important to Dan. He has devoted many hours volunteering as a coach, working on school-levies, and cleaning up city parks. Dan has also worked for over 20 years as the announcer and official scorekeeper for high school basketball teams in both Ohio and Florida.
