Edwin J. Pickett Joins FUTURITY FIRST Insurance Group as Branch Manager in Portland, ME
Rocky Hill, CT (August 18, 2008) FUTURITY FIRST Insurance Group (FFIG) has announced the appointment of Edwin J. Pickett as Branch Manager of the FUTURITY FIRST office in Portland, ME. The announcement was made by the company’s CEO and President, Edward Berube.
FFIG is an independent insurance organization specializing in the financial security and retirement needs of middle income families and business owners. The company is opening community-based branches in selected locations across the United States.
As Branch Manager of the Portland office, Pickett is responsible for developing the company’s business presence and customer base in this market area, including the active recruitment of insurance professionals attracted to FFIG’s unique independent insurance platform and career opportunity.

Originally from Augusta, Pickett has 26 years of experience in the insurance and financial services business and has received numerous awards and honors for his service to his clients and his agents. Most recently, he was a manager for Bankers Life and Casualty. Pickett earned his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Maine at Orono. He has also been active in his local community as a member of the Elks organization in Augusta and as a coach in the youth sports programs.
