William A. Malloy
Bill chairs the Board of Futurity First Financial Corporation. He is currently an Executive Advisor to Aquiline Capital Partners and has worked in the financial services industry since 1980. He is the former president of Marsh Inc. where he was responsible for the firm’s worldwide operations. During his eleven years at Marsh, he served as the CEO of Marsh’s European/Middle East region and as head of the firm’s worldwide Financial and Professional practice. Prior to joining Marsh, Bill held various underwriting positions with AIG, eventually assuming responsibility for AIG’s European Financial Lines business. Bill is chairman of Group Ark Insurance Holdings Ltd. and also serves on the board of WRM America Holdings. He is a past director at The School of Risk Management at St. John’s University.
Stephen J. Hall
Steve is an Independent Director of Futurity First Financial Corporation. Steve is currently a Managing Partner of National Merchant Services, LLC, a company that distributes credit card processing services through strategic alliances, CPA’s, financial professionals and health benefit brokers. Previously, he was a founder and CEO of My ePHIT, LLC, an online wellness company that was acquired by AXIA Health Management, LLC. Steve began his career with Mutual of New York in Boise, Idaho as an insurance agent and completed his 27-year career with MONY as Senior Vice President responsible for career distribution. Steve is a CLU and ChFC.
Michael Kalen
Mike is Chief Executive Officer of Futurity First Insurance Group and an Independent Director of Futurity First Financial Corporation. He has 25 years experience in insurance and financial services. For the past seven years Mike has served in several senior leadership roles with the Hartford Financial Services Group including Executive Vice President of the Individual Insurance Division; President of their HESCO broker-dealer; and President and CEO of Hartford Life Europe. Most recently, Mike was Senior Vice President of Strategic Finance responsible for corporate restructuring and global enterprise services. Prior to joining The Hartford in 2003, Mike held a variety of field and home office management positions at Prudential. Mike is a CLU, ChFC and board member of The American College.
Patrick J. McLaughlin
Patrick has been a Managing Director of Emerald Capital Group, Ltd., an investment management and consulting firm specializing in the financial services/insurance industry, since April 1993. Prior to that, he was an Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of Life Partners Group, Inc., Managing Director of Conning & Company and Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of ICH Corporation. Patrick is also a director of Universal American Corporation, Swett & Crawford Group, Inc. and American Independent Companies, Inc.
Richard P. Rosenbaum
Rich has worked in the financial services industry since 1993. Prior to joining Aquiline Capital Partners LLC in 2005, he was with Securitas Capital, LLC (1997-2004), a private equity investment firm affiliated with Swiss Re focused on the insurance industry, where he served as an associate, vice president, and principal. At Securitas, Rich was involved with and completed a broad range of investments across the property and casualty, life, health, brokerage, and service provider market segments. From 1994 to 1997, he was an analyst and associate at Smith Barney in the Financial Institutions Group, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets assignments in the insurance industry. From 1993 to 1994, he was an analyst at John Head & Partners, a private equity firm focused on insurance.
A.J.C. (Ian) Smith
Ian has been a Senior Advisor to Aquiline Capital Partners since 2005 and is a member of the Firm’s management committee. He is the retired Chairman of Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC). He was Chairman of MMC from 1992 until May 2000, Chief Executive Officer from 1992 until November 1999 and President from 1986 to 1992. Prior to serving as President, Ian was Chief Executive Officer of MMC’s Consulting & Financial Services Group, which included Putnam Investments and Mercer Consulting. Ian also serves on the board of Group Ark Insurance Holdings Ltd. He became a fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries in 1959.
Sandra S. Wijnberg
Sandra is Chief Administrative Officer of Aquiline
Capital Partners and a member of the Firm’s management committee. Sandra joined Aquiline in 2007 and has worked in the financial services
industry since 1982. She was the CFO of Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC) from 2000 to 2006. Prior to joining MMC, Sandra was senior vice
president, treasurer, and interim CFO of Yum! Brands and held senior financial management positions at PepsiCo. Previously, she spent more
than 12 years in investment banking at Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers and its predecessor firms primarily in debt and equity capital
markets. Sandra is also a member of the board of directors of Tyco International Ltd. (NYSE:TYC).
